Sergi Soriano Vilchez

Sergi Soriano Vílchez was born in Barcelona (Spain) in 1972.

He started with photography in 2010 with landscape photography, but he turned fast to a more social perspective of photography.

His style is inspired by Asiatic authors, which he studies and admires, like Jianwei Yang, Eric Kim, Rinzi Ruiz and Tatsuo Suzuki.

Never gave up the analog photography, and he still experiment with analog colour and black and white.

He participated in:

  • “La otra mirada”, collective exposition for Cáritas. Orihuela 2011.
  • “El color dormido”, collective exposition about Black and White photography. Orihuela 2012.
  • “Murales de San Isidro, homenaje a Miguel Hernández”, collective exposition. Orihuela 2012.
  • “Muestra de fotografía Urbana”, lounge “La fábrica”. Orihuela 2013.

  • “Murales de San Isidro 1976-2012” ISBN: 978-84-616-3500-9

Sergi doesn’t like to title his pictures because “the observer has to choose the picture’s title, because an image isn’t perceived equally by all individuals”
